2026 MWBE Conference

NYSTRS hosted its 16th annual Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Investments & Professional Services Conference on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY. 

The event’s “A Seat at the Table” theme celebrates the critical role of diversity, equity and inclusion in the public pension industry and reflects the System's commitment to access and opportunity. Over 200 guests attended the day-long conference, which was once again held as a part of Emerging Managers Week.

This year’s keynote panel, titled Building Strategic Partnerships, featured speakers from NYSTRS, StepStone Group LP, Callan LLC, and Meketa Investment Group. Attendees also joined asset class breakout sessions – private equity, fixed income, real estate and public equities (asset managers and brokers) – to hear from NYSTRS’ managing directors and staff about NYSTRS’ portfolio and investment needs. Participants were able to gain insight into the System’s initiatives and the qualifications NYSTRS expects of its business partners, and network directly with System staff and other attendees.
