NYSTRS will host its 10th annual Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Investments and Professional Services Conference on Thursday, Feb. 13 at its offices at 10 Corporate Woods Drive in Albany.

The event provides a forum for potential asset managers and brokers, and professional and financial service providers, to become acquainted with the Retirement System. Attendees learn about NYSTRS’ portfolio and investment needs while also gaining greater insight into the abilities and qualifications the System expects of its business partners.

The daylong conference begins with a welcome from NYSTRS Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer Thomas K. Lee. Asset class workshops – including fixed income, private equity, professional services (financial, legal and real estate), public equities (asset managers and brokers) and real estate  give attendees the opportunity to meet with NYSTRS managing directors and staff. A detailed agenda will follow; registration/continental breakfast will be held 9:30 — 11 a.m. with the conference 11 a.m. — 4:30 p.m.
