An Important Note for Members: When contacting NYSTRS, please provide your EmplID (Employee Identification Number), which is found in your Benefit Profile or Retired Member Profile, and in most correspondence you receive from us. If you can't locate your EmplID, we can mail it to you. To keep your personal information secure, we cannot provide your EmplID by telephone or e-mail.

To ensure the confidentiality of your membership information and to protect your privacy, we do not send personal information via e-mail. Likewise, we suggest you refrain from providing personal information (e.g., your Social Security number) when e-mailing NYSTRS. We cannot accept an address change via e-mail. You can update your address online with a MyNYSTRS account or by submitting a Member Name/Address Change form (GRE-50).

Our regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. During the summer, our office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday.
